Health centres across the country were given a much needed facelift.
Buildings were painted, yards cleaned, and nearby drains cleared.
It was a project by the Friends of Health Organization of Grenada.
Grand Roy and Good Hope health centres were among those painted with community involvement.
Hon. Alvin Dabreo MP for St John, and Junior Minister in the Ministry of Works was among community members in Grand Roy.
The Minister said, he helped in providing some paint and brushes and mobilized labour within the community, and did some painting himself.
Villager and one of the painters in Good Hope, Bill Marryshow, believes it’s a good initiative and hopes it will continue.
“I think it’s a good effort in the community, that we should do community service in order to keep not only the health centres, but other buildings owned by the State on a regular basis”, he said.
