Parliamentary Secretary for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, Senator Jester Emmons, recently congratulated the winners Hillsborough Secondary School, as well as Bishop’s College and the Union Island Secondary School for their participation in the 2014 Inter-island athletics championship.
Emmons said, “The inter-island games serve as our mini Olympics and we can see the fruits of our labour as our athletes continue to improve on their performances nationally and regionally. This year, we have two athletes from the sister isle selected to the 2014 Grenada CARIFTA team, while there are many more waiting in the wings. I congratulate Keston Quashie and Mickel Joseph for their performances which ensured their selection on the Grenada team.You have performed very well over the years and I know that this year will be no exception. You have made the people of Carriacou and Petite Martinique proud and we beseech you to continue to do so.”
