The Grenada Football Association (GFA) will be holding two five-day workshops in May, aimed at improving the overall picture of football in Grenada.
The first five-day FIFA training workshop will be for all 39 clubs affiliated with the Association. Starting today, Friday 9 May and ending on Tuesday 13 May, more than 30 participants will receive training in several areas including that of marketing and communication, human resource management, pitch management and turf guidelines, safety security and crisis management and financial management.
Facilitated by FIFA instructor Kevan Pipe, the five day training session is expected to provide the platform for growth within the clubs’ structures, said a release from the GFA. FIFA, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, is the international governing body of football. President of the GFA Cheney Joseph says the workshop is the first of many more developmental sessions to come, as the association works to build capacity among its members.
Following the conclusion of this course, the GFA will be preparing to host a 5 day workshop for goalkeepers from 26–31 May.
