Four Men Plead Guilty In Police Beating

Four men who were charged with grievous harm, in connection with the beating of a police officer at Moonlight City on 8 August 2014, have been fined, and ordered to pay compensation after pleading guilty.

The men, Andelle Benjamin, 20 years, Truck Conductor of Mt Rich, St Patrick and Kerry Phillip 36 years old, Darrien Patrick, 21 years old and Dammion Benjamin, 28 years old all of Canada, appeared before the Grenville Magistrate Court on Wednesday 13 August 2014.

They were each fined EC$500 forthwith and are each required to compensate the victim the sum of EC$1000 or spend 21 days in prison. Police investigations are continuing.
