Alliance Française Hosts Death Penalty Panel Discussion

Alliance Française de la Grenade, The Villa, Saint George's

In recognition of the 12th World Day Against the Death Penalty, Greater Caribbean for Life (Non-profit abolitionist organisation) and its Grenadian members, in partnership with the Alliance Française of Grenada, invite you to a documentary screening followed by a panel discussion on the Death Penalty.

The panelists will be Leela Ramdeen, from Trinidad and Tobago, Attorney-at- Law, Chair of Greater Caribbean for Life, and Chester A Humphrey, President-General of the Grenada Technical and Allied Workers’ Union (GTAWU), and General Secretary of the Caribbean Congress of Labour (CCL).

Documentaries include a French short film ‘Des voix pour l’abolition’ (Galilée – CNDP), to be confirmed, plus video testimonies of murder victims’ family members from Hope Support Group, Trinidad.

The event will be held on Monday 13 October 2014, 6:30pm, at Alliance Française, The Villa, Mitchell’s Lane, St George’s.
