Grenada is to receive assistance from the University of Queensland in Australia to develop its blue economy.
A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed at the end of a three-day meeting for action on blue growth and food security.
Grenada’s Ambassador, Angus Friday, says already Grenada depends quite heavily on the blue economy which includes tourism and fisheries. According to Ambassador Friday, Government realized “that there has been growing results in terms of the fishing sector and the growth of fishery exports has been a bright spark for Grenada,” which will create a very bright future in blue growth.
