Catholic Charitable Projects Update

On 17 June 2015, the Grand Prior HE Renato Raffaele Cardinal Martino of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George, the oldest Catholic Order in the World, announced a grant totaling EC$4,799,740 for charitable projects in Grenada.

To date EC$306,992 has been disbursed. Included in this sum is a donation of two vehicles for use by the Diocese of St George’s.

The vehicles will be used by Sr Magaret Yamoah, the Director of the New Life Organisation; and Bishop Emeritus Sydney Charles. The 2 vehicles are being handed over on Thursday, 22 October 2015, at the Office of the Governor-General, following an Investiture Ceremony.

The restoration of the Grenada Public Library will also be supported with grant funding from the Constantinian Order, along with the construction of the Commercial IT Centre of the St Joseph’s Convent, St George, among other projects.
