Grenada NGO, reachwithin, has added another feature to their #ARunForGrenada fundraising campaign, a run from St George’s to Sauteurs, on Sunday, 1 November 2015. The Last Mile Fun Run will allow members of the public to run or power walk the final mile of the #ARunForGrenada challenge.
The new feature gives Grenadians an opportunity to play a more active role beyond donating on the campaign page http://igg.me/at/
Not only will participants of the Last Mile Fun Run be able to rub shoulders with Canadian actor, Brandon Jay McLaren, who is taking part in #ARunForGrenada and whose father is from Grenville, they can also purchase delicious food and listen to lively music at the end point of the Petite Anse Hotel.
Minister for Culture, Brenda Hood, who will be participating in the Last Mile Fun Run said, “I am really looking forward to it. #ArunForGrenada is an initiative that I fully support and I commend the reachwithin charity for devising this exciting new option.”
“I cannot wait to meet Canadian actor Brandon Jay McLaren who, like me, agrees that this is a worthwhile cause as it directly benefits the children of Grenada. I encourage as many Grenadians as possible to get behind it, to donate online and to register for the Last Mile Fun Run.”
Exact time and location for the The Last Mile Fun Run will be announced closer to the date. Registration is free but people wishing to participate are asked to email [email protected].
