The Inland Revenue Division (IRD) of the Ministry of Finance is concerned about the number of Liquor Dealers who are not paying their licence fees.
An investigation carried out by the IRD into the compliance of these dealers revealed that from 2009 to 2014, 67% of Liquor Dealers within 1 mile of the town of St George, and 76% beyond the 1–mile radius, failed to pay their Liquor Licences.
There are approximately 2,309 registered Liquor Dealers in the country.
The IRD hereby notifies Liquor Dealers who are not in compliance, that they should rectify their status and bring their licence payments up to date no later than 31 December 2015.
The IRD will be working closely with the RGPF, to take appropriate actions against Liquor Dealers who fail to comply by year-end.
