Crowdfunding for Caribbean Entrepreneurs

The Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice of the World Bank Group is pleased to announce the first Massive Online Open Course on Crowdfunding for Caribbean Entrepreneurs.

The MOOC is an 8-week online open learning course funded by the Government of Canada under the Entrepreneurship Program for Innovation in the Caribbean (EPIC), which seeks to build an enabling ecosystem for growth-oriented and sustainable enterprises across 14 CARICOM countries except Haiti.

Why this course?

Crowdfunding is an innovative, early-stage financing mechanism to raise capital from a large group of people, pilot new entrepreneurial ideas, and grow small and medium-sized enterprises. The Crowdfunding Massive Online Open Course for Caribbean Entrepreneurs will assist entrepreneurs to increase their knowledge about the potential of crowdfunding and how to build a crowdfunding campaign, through online training and targeted coaching.

Who should take this course?

The MOOC was designed for entrepreneurs from the 14 EPIC-participating countries with well-formulated ideas or prototypes who need to raise money and test their consumer-facing products or services.
