Head of the Community Relations Department (CRD) of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF), ASP Sylvan Mc Intrye, has refuted rumours spread via social media on WhatsApp and Facebook, about 3 Trinidadian prisoners who allegedly escaped custody from their homeland.
Photos of the 3 men have been circulating since last Friday evening, and ASP Mc Intyre warned the general public about the dangers of spreading false information. He confirmed that the RGPF is in close communications with the Police in Trinidad, and to date no such information was exchanged.
“We would do all in our power to ensure that information relative to the safety of our people comes through the official medium.” According to Mc Intyre, they have been trying to verify the information themselves and they have links with the Interpol, and so far they cannot confirm the validity of this information.
