Public relations officer within the Ministry of Social Development & Housing, Delroy Louison reports that the ministry continues to fulfil its mandate in providing an equitable and sustainable improvement in the quality of life of the people across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
Kishon and Janice Mark of Simon (Seamoon), St Andrew, are the latest recipients of a newly built home. The initiative was spearheaded by the 2016–2017 Young Leaders Group of the St Joseph’s Convent Grenville. The group received major support from the housing project of the SEED unit within the Ministry of Social Development & Housing.
The keys to the new home were officially handed over to the family earlier today at a special ceremony held at the St Joseph’s Convent Grenville. More than EC$17,000 was invested by the programme to assist the young leaders in erecting the home for the Mark family.
Head of family, Kishon Mark expressed his gratitude to the ministry, the SJC Grenville Young Leaders and all other parties that contributed to this noble accomplishment.
One of the teachers responsible for the SJC Grenville Young Leaders, Karine Christopher lauded the ministry for its significant contribution.
Manager of the SEED programme Mrs Leonora George–Buckmire said the Ministry saw it fit to lend its support to this initiative, since it’s in keeping with its mission. Mrs George–Buckmire says the ministry will continue to support the family moving forward.
