Vacancy: Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager – Grenada

The successful applicant will report to the Executive Housekeeper with responsibility to ensure that the property is well furnished; guest rooms are cleaned on a timely basis and are well maintained; public areas are aesthetically pleasing and maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.

  • Must have excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Must be able to effectively multitask and manage multiple projects
  • Must have a pleasant personality with excellent guest engagement skills
  • Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of guests
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and function effectively under pressure

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assumes full responsibility of the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper
  • Develops cleaning schedule for night staff and public area cleaning
  • Prepares room attendant work assignment sheets
  • Prepares housekeeping room status report
  • Inspects cleaned rooms and track out of order rooms a daily basis
  • Trains employees and ensures conformance with established policies and procedures
  • Maintains key control systems
  • Prepares cleaning products for use by room attendants

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc. Hotel/Business Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a similar or comparative position
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles
  • Knowledge of budget and planning control
