In an effort to facilitate trade through support to the Poultry Industry, the Grenada Bureau of Standards is collaborating with the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives to assist the local poultry farmers and processors with a training for its membership.

The training according to the Bureau will increase the participants knowledge base by receiving training in the areas of sanitation, hygiene and good manufacturing practices and improve their techniques in the production of safe poultry for human consumption and in so doing meet the requirements of national and regional poultry standards.

As a result, the official launching of the project will take place on Friday February 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Conference Room of the Grenada Bureau of Standards. The High Commissioner of Canada is expected to attend.
