Hundreds of Grenadians gathered at the Grenada Trade Centre  at Morne Rouge at 3pm on Wednesday February 20, to witness the swearing in of the island’s ninth prime minister following Tuesday’s general election.
Swearing to work for the good of the country, Dr the Hon Keith Mitchell addressed the gathering following the presentation of his credentials to the Governor-General Sir Carlyle Glean.
The event was witnessed by the other winning candidates, members of the diplomatic corps, permanent secretaries and supporters. Mitchell declared the weekend to be National Days of Prayer. He also announced that he will be meeting with senior management of the public service to be briefed on the state of affairs of the country.
