Launch Underpinned by two New Prepaid Plans

Digicel is today unveiling its new brand promise, BE EXTRAORDINARY, to the people of Grenada. After almost ten successful years in the Grenadian market, Digicel is proud once again to be exciting Grenadians with this renewed commitment to our customers.

Delivering on this promise, Digicel Grenada today unveiled two new rate plans the “Smile Value Plan” and the “39c Plan” – offering even more choice and more value to Digicel’s extraordinary customers across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Digicel’s new “Smile Value Plan” offers customers who top up $10 or more instant rewards of text, talk and credit. If you top up $10 you get $3 worth of text, if you top up $15 you get $30 free talk time to a loved one on Digicel, if you top up $20 you get $40 free to call an international number, and if you top up $25 you get $50 free talk time to any local Digicel number.  You also get 120 minutes free when you talk for 5 minutes on a Digicel to Digicel call and 120 texts free when you send 5 texts from Digicel to Digicel. Once again, Digicel is ensuring that with Digicel, your credit really lasts longer.

Digicel’s new “39c Plan” sees prepaid customers benefiting from the lowest rate in the market at 0.39c per minute for local Digicel calls and 0.59c to any Digicel customers across the region, anytime. This new plan comes with added value; talk for 5 minutes to Digicel local and regional and get the next 5 minutes free and send 5 text messages to Digicel and get the next 5 free.

These new plans give customers the power to choose the plan that is right for them, while getting best value in Grenada – with a whole lot of freeness too. To find out more about these plans customers should dial *138#.

The launch of these two plans marks the next step in the evolution of the Digicel brand in Grenada – with the new brand promise ‘Be Extraordinary’, it is a celebration of the ‘extraordinary in the everyday’ and serves both as a motivational and inspirational call to action for our customers.

Digicel Grenada’s Country Manager, Ms. Patricia Maher said, “At Digicel, we’re always listening to our customers, and today we are proud to unveil both our new Be Extraordinary brand promise and our two new plans – offering the best value in the market with our “Smile Value Plan” and offering the lowest rate in our “39c Plan”.

“‘Be Extraordinary’ is about celebrating everyday people doing extraordinary things and highlights our customers’ achievements in their day to day lives. It is as much a statement as it is a promise and a challenge to people to be the best they can be. Our role at Digicel is to support them every step of the way hence today we are giving them more choice. We know one size doesn’t fit all — and with Digicel’s “Smile Value Plan” and Digicel’s “39c Plan” variety truly is the spice of life,” concluded Maher.

An innovative, interactive and captivating marketing and brand campaign has been launched to bring the ‘Be Extraordinary’ brand promise to life on TV, billboards, in stores, in print, on radio and online all over Grenada. In addition, Digicel teams will be mobilised across the island to communicate the new brand message of ‘Be Extraordinary’ to customers one-on-one.

The new brand promise brings with it even more value, but also commitment to what makes Grenada extraordinary, and a huge part of this is our culture, of which carnival and sport play a huge part.

Digicel Grenada’s Marketing Manager, Kirk Seetahal, said; “Digicel is passionate about Carnival, an extraordinary celebration that is so much a part of Grenadian culture. We continue to support all aspects of the event, to help Grenada celebrate this extraordinary festival, which is unlike any other the world over.

“Sport too is our passion and Digicel signals its commitment to it by partnering with the new CPL T20 cricket league, the greatest party in sport, which combines Caribbean passion to party and for cricket. As a long standing and proud sponsor of West Indies Cricket, Digicel saw this as great opportunity to invest not only in what will be an amazing sporting initiative, but one that will also give young cricketers from around the region an outlet to showcase their talent in a sporting discipline so dear to the hearts of the people of the Caribbean,” continued Seetahal.
