Man Charged By Police In Connection With Non-Capital Murder

The South St. George Police have arrested and charged Omar Mc Gillivary, a 27 year old carpenter of Grand Anse Housing Scheme St. George, for the crime of Non Capital Murder, by intentionally and unlawfully causing the death of Junior Thomas, a  32 year old resident of Grand Anse Valley St. George. The incident emanated from an altercation on Sunday morning, 30 June 2013, in the Sugar Mill area, Grand Anse St. George

Initial investigation revealed that the victim received several wounds over his body.

Thomas was rushed to the General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

McGillivary, who was arrested and charged, today Wednesday, 3 July, 2013, will make his first court appearance on Thursday, 4th July, 2013 at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court at 9:00 am.
