At 11:00 am the centre of Tropical Storm Chantal was located near latitude 10.9 North and Longitude 51.7 West, or 550 miles East-Southeast of Barbados. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 MPH. Chantal is moving towards the West-Northwest at 25 MPH and that track will take the storm well north of Grenada sometime tomorrow. Tropical storm warning is in effect for Barbados, St. Lucia, Dominica, Martinique and Guadalupe, while a tropical watch is in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Neither a tropical watch nor warning is necessary for Grenada at this time since the system is forecast to pass well North of Grenada.
