nowgrenada.com Celebrates 5,000 Likes on Facebook!

nowgrenada.com has surpassed more than 5,000 Likes, since its official launch in March 2013. The digital news platform — which streams news and commentary on Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, in sports, politics, business, community and entertainment — already receives more than 13,000 unique monthly visitors.

NOW Grenada founder, Nigel Mathlin says, “I am, of course, delighted with the popularity of the social media arm of nowgrenada.com which has surpassed all our expectations. More than 60% of our readers are from Grenada, and they drive what we do. They are not passive observers, but active contributors. Their feedback encourages us on that path that we have chosen, and that is reflected in the growing traffic to the website and our Facebook page.

“Users of the website like the fact that we are more than mainstream news, which is why they come back to us time and again. They like the direction that we have taken, which is to push socially and culturally progressive news, events and ideas from and about Grenada, and our particular interest in the development of business and community activities.”

“Our aim is to encourage critical thinking and engage dialogue, and to help facilitate a better understanding of our history, and appreciation of our culture. We are also about promoting healthy lifestyles, such as nutritious eating, the promotion of local products, and safer sex. Moving forward, we are working on an online resource to support and advise community workshops and organisations.”

“Aqua.gd is the publisher of nowgrenada.com and we have been providing creative solutions for businesses both large and small, in Grenada and around the world, for 19 years. We have been working very hard these past few months, building up the popularity of the news platform — not with gimmicks and empty sensationalism, but with the integrity of well reported stories, and we are confident that we have a product that is ideal for advertisers.

The broader range that our services takes in, Public Relations, Marketing and Social Media, means businesses will receive more than just a banner on a website, but an integrated service that includes design strategies targeted to specific target markets, assistance on improving their own websites and social media presence, and overall branding.

nowgrenada.com is still in its infancy, but we have lots of plans in the pipeline, to benefit both readers and the advertisers.”
