A National Consultation on Caricom Reform Process and Preparation of the Strategic Plan for the Community 2014–2018 will be held in Grenada next week Tuesday, 10 September 2013, at the Trade Centre at Morne Rouge.
Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade Planning and Cooperatives and the Caricom Secretariat, the objective of the consultation is for wide participation using various methods and media such as discussions/interviews, online surveys, written submissions and workshops.
“These interactions will be informed by an Environmental Scan being developed and will engage stakeholders around three main themes,” said a news release from the Ministry. The themes are:
- Beneficiaries-driven priorities to be addressed over the planning period to 2018 (including previous and current strategies that remain relevant)
- The requirements and responsibilities for successful implementation
- The means for measuring progress, outputs and outcomes over the plan period
Participants at the consultation will represent but the public and private sectors including Non Governmental or Civil Society organizations.
