What seemed to be quite a long break as all the participating schools were engaged in their respective mid-term break coupled with Thanksgiving Day holiday and Monday’s Arrival of the FIFA World Cup Trophy, action continues on Tuesday with five (5) matches in the final round of matches in the U-21 Boys of the Republic Bank RightStart Youth Cup Football Tournament.
In Group A – Boca Secondary will host St. David’s Catholic Secondary at the Vendomme Playing Field and Happy Hill and Wesley College will look for points when they meet at the Beausejour Playing Field. After six (6) rounds of matches, Happy Hill leads on maximum 18 points followed by GBSS on 13 points.
Over in Group B – Grenville Secondary and McDonald College will be at the Progress Park. Grenada Seventh Day Adventist Comprehensive will journey over to the Cuthbert Peters Park to face a struggling St. John’s Christian Secondary and the St. Andrew’s derby between SAASS and the Grenada Christian Academy will be played at the Pearls Recreation Ground.
Both St. Mark’s Secondary and McDonald College are leading on 12 points. However, St. Mark’s are enjoying a better goal difference. The Republic Bank RightStart Youth Football Tournament involves only Secondary Schools and is within two categories: Boys and Girls.
The Boys Category consists of two (2) Divisions:Â The U-16Â Division has four (4) Groups whereas the U-21 only two (2) Groups. In the Girls Category, there is only one (1) Division consisting of two(2) Groups. The top two (2) teams in each Group will advance to the next stage of the Competition.
