The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, in collaboration with UNESCO, will soon be launching the Educational Management Information System (EMIS).
The Educational Management Information System will require schools to electronically enter data onto a system that will generate specific reports. The system will house data for the administrators as well as a student’s records.
It is the aim that, once the program is in place, all students will be in the system and detailed student reports can be generated on demand.
During the EMIS Pilot, however, only a selected group of schools will be entering data. The pilot schools include:
7 Secondary Schools
(Presentation Brothers College, Grenville Secondary, St. Mark’s Secondary, Boca Secondary, Westerhall Secondary, Hillsborough Secondary and Happy Hill Secondary).
12 Primary Schools
(St. Patricks’s R.C, Bonair Government School, St. John’s R.C, Happy Hill R.C, St. Louis Girls R.C, Grand Anse R.C, Corinth Government school, St. Giles Anglican School, St. Michael R.C School, St. Andrew’s Methodist School, L’Esterre Rosary School, Concord Government School).
4 Pre-Primary Schools
(Green Street Pre-Primary, Alpha Pre School, Park View Pre School and Happy Hill Pre School).
