The Executive and Members of the Media Workers Association of Grenada (MWAG) are disappointed with the manner in which two former employees of Meaningful Television, MTV, have been portrayed in the Grenada Informer for the week ending 7 March 2014.
Both former employees, Gennil Reuben and Ria Murray, provided many years of dedicated service in the news department of the MTV. They have both earned several awards for their outstanding performance in the media.
Both ladies tendered their resignations, giving advance notice, and have never conducted any transaction on behalf of the company since their employment.
MWAG believes the spot, captioned “Public Notice” in the newspaper is a deliberate attempt to embarrass and discredit the young female journalists, owing to their decision to resign from MTV.
MWAG calls on the management of MTV to retract the caption and issue an apology to the former employees.
