This week Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell met representatives from the Grenada Beverage Alcohol Alliance and received their commitment to work with Government to promote responsible distribution and consumption of beverage alcohol products, including initiatives which tackle illegal manufacturing and distribution of spirits.
Dr Mitchell stated that “There are serious potential health implications as a result of these unlicensed and untested products being consumed by our people, and we therefore need to move speedily to address those within the legal framework. The wellbeing of our people is at stake.”
