The Grenada Airports Authority (GAA) now offers a premium facility to cater to business, general aviation services, and airline first class/premium passengers, at the Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA).
Hon. Alexandra Otway–Noel, Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture, welcomed the facility at MBIA as part of the Grenada Government’s plan to have a world class tourism destination. “We continue to find new ways to develop MBIA to exceed the expectation of our visitors.”
The Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Jet Center facility is owned and operated by IAM Caribbean Inc, an aviation handling and fuel services operator, with facilities in 24 airports across the region. IAM Group Managing Director, Paul Worrell, notes that “Grenada sits on the southern end of the spectacular Grenadine Islands/Tobago Cays and has a rich yachting culture. Increasing numbers of luxury super yachts make use of the excellent marinas on the island — such as Camper & Nicholson’s world class facility at Port Louis. Our new FBO will provide the passengers joining these premium yachts and those visiting the island’s exclusive five star resorts and properties with an equally elegant experience at the airport.”
