iLand Guide Grenada is the country’s first fully comprehensive and free app which is available on Apple and Android systems and works on smartphones and tablets.
The app introduces a new way to explore the sights and delights of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, with photos combined with digital mapping to show the most important sights and locations around the state. Using the latest technology, the app works like a visual GPS guiding viewers to restaurants, bars, party places, beaches, historical spots and essential services such as hospitals and clinics.
The app is a collaboration between BusinessGrenada Magazine and iLand Guide Worldwide, an international company with successful apps in markets as far afield as Thailand and Bali .The iLandGuide Grenada app aims to further enhance Carriacou and Petite Martinique as a quality destination, by bringing local content to both the local and international stage via the Apple and Android world market.
iLand Guide publisher, Tony McQuilkin, this year celebrating twelve years of showcasing businesses across Grenada with Business Grenada Magazine, believes the iLand Guide Grenada app represents the next generation in tourism and business marketing.
“People can now engage with local businesses or the islands natural wonders in a new and interesting way. For instance I can look for a restaurant and see great pics of their food, view their Menu, make a call for a booking, see where their located, where I’m located and how to get there! All on a phone or tablet, now that’s a great use of technology.”
Local businesses including the Grenada Tourism Authority — who see the app as a product that will enhance the visitor experience — are joining the app at a rapid rate. They are able to showcase their offerings, and are able to change content whenever they choose.
The app is simple to use, and works 100% offline. This means no roaming charges, and showcases Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique as a visually stunning country with plenty of things to do to suit a variety of interests. It is available as a free download from the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store. Like us on Facebook.
