Within the past 8 days, 3 acts of violence, one of which resulted in the death of a man have occurred in the Boca Community. The first was on Friday 6 June, when Paul Chetram stabbed Delon Harry. During the week a minor also chopped his mother during an altercation.
The third incident took place earlier yesterday, Saturday, when residents in the Boca community confirmed that a man was found hanging following a domestic dispute, resulting in his wife sustaining chop wounds to her body. She is presently warded at the General Hospital in a critical condition.
One resident who wished to remain anonymous, said Cobb’s lifeless body was found near to the secondary school. “He ran off when he chopped up the lady and when the police came on the scene of the chopping to do the investigation, some when searching for him and he was found hanging,” said the resident.
At the time of the initial report, the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) was unable to confirm the incident, as the Criminal Investigating Department (CID) directed all inquiries to the Community Relations Department (CRD), the official communications Unit of the RGPF, which was not open.
Since then, police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man identified as Dominic Roderick Cobb, 51 years old, who was found hanging from a tree close to his home in Boca, St George on Saturday around midday.
An undertaker removed his body, and a post mortem is scheduled.
