The following is the National Summary Data for the 2014 CXC (CSEC) Examinations, issued by the Ministry of Education.

A total of 2,782 candidates were registered to write CXC (CSEC) examinations in May/June 2014. 1,786 were students attending schools and 996 were private candidates. There were 13,116 subject entries.

Overall there were 1,478 Grade one, 3,087 Grade two, 4,233 Grade three, 2,674 Grade four, 1,058 Grade five, 50 Grade six and 536 ungraded or absent. The pass rate in the examination is 69.94%. In 2013 the pass rate was 70.26%.

The largest entries were in English A (1,902), Mathematics (1,535), Social Studies (1,020), Principles of Business (745) and Information Technology (559). The lowest entries were in Mechanical Engineering Technology (8), Theatre Arts (17), Additional Mathematics (18), Religious Education (73), and Visual Arts (106).

The subjects with the highest percentage pass were Physical Education and Sport (100%), Theatre Arts (100%), Home Economics: Management (94.2%), Food and Nutrition (94.14%), and Information Technology (84.67%). The subjects with the lowest percentage pass were Mathematics (51.48%), English A (54.99%), Spanish (56.39), French (57.73) and Geography (59.95).
