Last Friday, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister, Hon Alexandra Otway-Noel paid a courtesy visit to Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Hon Michael Coteau, while she was in Toronto to attend the 8th Annual Grenada Day Festival.

It was revealed that Coteau has Grenadian roots from his Carriacou-born father.

Coteau is also the minister responsible for the 2015 Pan Am and Parapan American Games, which will be hosted in Toronto, from 10-26 July and from 7-15 August respectively. The 2015 Parapan American Games is a major international multi-sport event, in which approximately 1,500 athletes are expected to participate in 15 sports.

During the meeting the two ministers discussed various issues of mutual cooperation. Also present at the meeting was Honorary Consul General of Grenada in Toronto, C J Augustine-Kanu. Otway-Noel also met with Hon Asot Michael, Antigua and Barbuda’s new Minister of Tourism, Economic Development, Investment and Energy.
