A St Andrew resident who appeared before the Grenville Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 9 March 2015, charged in connection with sand mining, has been sentenced to three months in jail.

Anthony Edgar, 34 years old of La Poterie, was arrested and charged after he was caught in the act on Saturday, 7 March 2015 at La Poterie Bay.

Meanwhile, a St Andrew resident who is facing a slew of sex related offenses has been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison. 48-year-old, Titus Hannibal of Paraclete, today appeared before the Grenville Magistrate’s Court charged with six counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and one count of attempted rape. Hannibal is due to reappear at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court on 20 March 2014.
