Hon. Emmalin Pierre, Parliamentary Representative for the St. Andrew South East Constituency, visited the Telescope Primary School to view the damage caused by the early morning fire on Saturday at the school.
‘Do not despair’, was the message from Hon. Pierre, as she encouraged the teachers and parents.
Commenting on the value of the school to the community, she noted, “Telescope Primary School is a pillar of this community. You just have to look around to see the way that the community has been transformed since this institution came into being. I therefore pledge to give my full support to the rebuilding process.”
Hon. Pierre also thanked the members of the Grenada Fire Services whose effectiveness has mitigated the damage by limiting the fire’s ability to spread throughout the school. “Our fire men, need to be commended for the excellent job that they did.”
Telescope Primary School is one of four (4) primary schools located in the constituency of St Andrew South East.
