The New National Party (NNP) takes this opportunity to offer its condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of Mr Gabriel Henry.

Mr Henry, a former caretaker for the St David Constituency, Executive Member of the NNP and Former President of the Grenada Cricket Association, passed away on Saturday, 1 August, in Cuba, after sustaining tragic injuries in a vehicular accident there last week.

Over the years, Mr Henry’s love and passion for all things Grenadian had propelled him to the fore of community and sporting activities, particularly in the parish of St David.

Parliamentary Representative for the Constituency of St David and close friend of Mr Henry, Hon. Oliver Joseph, has said that the death of Mr Henry is a massive loss for Grenada, but particularly so for the people of St David.

According to the MP, “Grenada has lost a great community organizer and sport administrator, and I have lost a great friend and mentor.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister and Political Leader of the New National Party, Dr the Rt Hon. Keith Mitchell, has expressed his sadness and that of the NNP Family at the loss of Mr Henry.

Dr Mitchell stated, “I wish to offer my condolences and those of my family and the NNP family, to the relatives and friends of ‘Gabe’. He will truly be missed by all of us. Our thoughts are with his children as we know that they are hurting badly. As a party, we offer our continued prayers and support to them.”

May Gabriel’s soul rest in perfect peace.
