Great Day for the Beach in Grenada

Today, just as any other day is a great day for the beach in the sunny islands of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique. The tri-island state boasts over 50 white and black sand beaches, sheltered by blue skies and cotton candy clouds.

“In the space of two hours we were able to visit six (6) of our popular beaches, which are conveniently located near many of our hotels and resorts. All of the beaches had clear, calm waters that were simply hard to resist,” said Chrislyn Lashington, Corporate Communications Officer at the Grenada Tourism Authority.

Grenadians use the beach for recreation, sports and fitness. It is common to witness family gatherings and cook-ups on the beach, especially on a public holiday.

The most visited beach in Grenada is Grand Anse beach where one can engage in watersports and shopping. The Grand Anse Spice & Craft market is a great location to purchase food, drinks, souvenirs, and spices. There are also 4 dive centres along the two-mile long beach, which offer snorkel and dive trips to shipwrecks and coral reefs.

The Grenada Tourism Authority invites all to Pure Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean.
