An outstanding Grenadian team has been selected to represent the country this weekend, at the Sandals ENCORE talent series grand final in Jamaica.
The event will take place on 18 and 19 September, at Sandals Whitehouse and Sandals Negril, respectively.
The Grenadian representatives make up a 5-person team led by Sandals LaSource Entertainment Manager, Derenna Tate. The group departed for Jamaica on Friday, 11 September.
Team talents include butler Brent McMeo and tour specialist Shanell Khan, leading the island’s representation with their outstanding vocal skills, while bartender Marlon Baptiste and room attendant Vernessa Matthews will strut their extraordinary figures in the male and female model segments. Loyalty and Travel Agent Gary Roberts is poised to seal the deal with his awe-inspiring talents with the instruments.
General Manager for Sandals LaSource Grenada, Peter Fraser, said that Sandals continues to explore ways of creating, enabling and engaging environments for its team members.
“ENCORE is an excellent avenue for our team members to relax and express themselves through the avenues that make them feel comfortable. We are extremely proud of the talent that we have here, and we are even more proud to afford them the platform and avenues, through which those talents can be embraced and exposed,” Fraser said.
The team will stand against formidable competition from other Sandals properties, including Barbados, St Lucia, Turks and Caicos, Antigua, the Bahamas, and Jamaica.
The Sandals ‘Entertainment Now Creates Opportunities Rewarding Experience’ (ENCORE) event, is geared towards showcasing the vast array of talent in the company. The event is the brainchild of Sandals Creative Director, Weston Haughton.
