2 Airport Security Officers have been charged in connection with the MBIA’s latest drug bust.
Donnett Hillaire, 31 years, resident of Happy Hill, St George; and Jaron Mitchell, 28 years of Maran, St George, were formally charged for possession and trafficking of a controlled drug, after 5Â kilograms of cocaine were allegedly found in a room that were occupied by the duo at about 4 pm on 27 December.
Hillaire and Mitchell appeared at the St George’s Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 30 December 2015.
Mitchell was granted bail in the sum of $500,000Â with 3Â sureties, and has to report to Central Police Station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm. He also has to surrender all travel documents and is required to seek permission from the Court to leave the State.
Hillaire, a Supervisor, was denied bail and has been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison at Richmond Hill. They are due back in Court on Tuesday, 19 January 2016.
