Government Minister, Hon. Oliver Joseph, who was addressing the media at a Post-Cabinet Briefing on Tuesday 28 June, said the sewage leaks that have plagued the residents for some time now will be finally addressed by a team of experts.
“I’m pleased to report that a team of engineers, two weeks ago, were approached to look at the matter in La Calome, Mt Gay and Soubise, and they have started work to identify the problem,” Minister Joseph said.
The Minister said work has been progressing favourably, particularly in La Calome where the leak has been detected and a possible solution has been identified.
He said government has decided to prioritize the complaints and anticipates a speedy solution now that the engineers are at work.
“I am pleased that very soon we will see a solution to the problem there,” Minister Joseph added.
