The Grenada Athletics Association (GAA) extends heartiest congratulations to our world rated athletes, Kirani James and Bralon Taplin on their outstanding performance in the men’s 400 meters at the Rio Games 2016.

Kirani and Taplin made history by becoming the first 2 Grenadians to make the finals in the 400 meters event at the same Olympics, bringing immense glory and honour to our country.

The GAA and by extension Grenada, is extremely proud of the achievement of Kirani, his humility, dedication, hard work and perseverance have undoubtedly brought great dividends not only to himself, but the sport and the people of Grenada. Likewise, Bralon has demonstrated that with the talent and the right attitude the sky is the limit. He has shown that he is an excellent ambassador for athletics and the country of Grenada, one in whom we are extremely proud.

We join with the rest of the Grenadian community in acknowledging the exploits of Ambassador Kirani James on his silver (2nd place) accomplishment and Ambassador Bralon Taplin on his 7th place in the world record-breaking event.

On behalf of the executive of the GAA and the athletic family, we wish you continued blessings and success in your athletic career and God’s richest blessings on yourself, parents and members of your family; as you continue to fly the Grenada flag on the international track and field circuit.
