The second phase of the Miracle Eye Mission programme has begun. In 4 days, the Miracle Mission team has performed surgical eye operations on 30 Grenadian nationals, free of cost.

Between November 2015 and January 2016, more than 200 Grenadians had successful eye operations in the first phase of the programme.

eye-opThe Miracle Eye Mission programme was created by the former Cuban president, Fidel Castro and developed by the former Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez. This social program is an agreement between the Government of The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Government of the Republic of Cuba, and the Government of Grenada. Its objective is to provide sight-saving surgery, free of charge, for people with little economic resources suffering from Pterygium and Cataract, in an effort to improve their quality of life.
