SJC St Andrew and St John's Christian Secondary School face each other in the quarter finals

On 7 November, 4 schools will face each other in the semi-final round of the Grenlec Debates.

The quarter-final round, which was held on 24 October, featured 4 matches with 8 schools vying to earn a spot in the semi-finals. Bishop’s College; Hillsborough Secondary School; St Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School and St Joseph’s Convent, St Andrew were victorious and have secured their place in the next round of the competition.

Prudence Greenidge, Corporate Communications Manager of Grenlec congratulated the teams for their excellent display of skills, passion and determination.

Currently, the People’s Choice competition is open on Facebook. For the first time, the public can vote for their favourite debater, who will receive a special prize at the debate finals and awards ceremony. Voting will close on 18 November.

The semi-final round of the Grenlec Debates will determine the 2 schools that will face each other in the final of the competition, scheduled for 22 November.
