The Allied Health Professionals Council is a corporate body established pursuant to Section 55 Subsection 2 of the Health Practitioner’s Act No 16 of 2010.
Allied Health Professionals refers to all health care professions that are distinct from nursing, medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. These persons work in healthcare fields by providing a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic, direct patient care and support services that are critical to patient wellbeing
The Council’s main functions are to:
- Protect the general public
- Promote and uphold high standards of practice
- Facilitate continued competency
- Maintain public confidence in professionals.

According to the Act it is now mandatory that all professionals who fit this profile be registered and licensed in order to practice throughout the State of Grenada. The Council advises all professionals to be registered/licensed on or before 31 December 2017.
