Police have confirmed 3 deaths from a fire which occurred mid-afternoon period on Monday in the rural community of Carriere, St Andrew.
Head of the Community Relations Department (CRD) of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF, Trevor Rodney said the wooden house was destroyed by the time fire service officers from the Grenville police station arrived on the scene. “Unfortunately, 3 persons perished. One female senior citizen and 2 other persons,” he confirmed.
Corporal Jessel Grant of the Grenville police station noted that Social Services has been contacted to counsel the family.
Police investigations continue.
