Music & Beyond lays foundation for a beautiful sound

Grenadian vocalists benefit from 20 years of experience. Music & Beyond continues to extend golden opportunities to musical talent across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

The most recent accomplishment under the development and training umbrella of the non-profit’s mandate is the intensive one day vocal training course facilitated by Vanessa Briggs on Saturday, 24 February 2018.

The Gospel recording artiste, songwriter, actress and vocal coach tapped into her 20-years plus experience in the business, to offer a foundational course in voice knowledge and technique for both aspiring and practicing singers.

The extensive programme covered numerous elements critical to harnessing voice and style including, but not limited to mastering vocal techniques, understanding vocal placement, linguistics voice care, ear training, mastering riffs and runs, merging breathing and diction and expression.

Participants were in high praise for the training received in areas of both quality and content. Music & Beyond has since received requests for continued courses over a longer period and the suggestion to establish a school. The non-profit organisation committed to providing opportunity for musicians in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique confirms they are encouraged by the growing interest and engagement in the programmes offered over the last 3 years and also the feedback received.

Other development opportunities provided under the auspices of Music & Beyond and Pure Grenada Music Festival include, the Ready for The Stage initiative – a great platform for singers and bands to hone their performance capabilities, which earlier this year showcased a wealth of emerging Grenadian talent via its LIVE …in the Park event. In addition, Pure Grenada Music Festival 2018 offers a mentorship programme with renowned Swiss producer Adrian Stern for a special collaboration with 5 Grenadian artistes.

Any individual or organisation wishing to support the efforts of Music & Beyond and Pure Grenada Music Festival may do so as a Sponsor, Friend of The Festival and or Volunteer.
