The public is invited to a forum on Monday, 29 October 2018, starting 5 pm at Marryshow House on HA Blaize Street, to highlight the main concerns and questions regarding the Caribbean Court of Justice referendum bill, as well as the process for the upcoming referendum.
Various presentations will be made pointing to flaws, trickery, deficiencies and danger in the CCJ Bill, as well as to refute some of the pronouncements made by the CCJ Vote Yes campaign. The significance of going to vote at the referendum would also be explained.
The public forum is organised by the “Caucus for Analysing Grenada’s CCJ Referendum Bill 2018”, with further intent to prepare a comprehensive position document for submission to the powers-that-be.
For your further information, please note the following and act accordingly:
Discussions on the referenda in Antigua and Barbuda and Grenada will be aired on the upcoming edition of the regional television programme Time to Face the Facts, Sunday, 28 October 2018; to be carried live on Caribvision 8 pm – 10 pm, with Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/timetofacethefactsshow/, from the studio of Flow 1 in Grenada.
A national motorcade is planned for Sunday, 4 November 2018 to sensitise the people on the CCJ Bill and on the merit and need for going to vote come referendum day on 6 November. Pertinent information-leaflets would be distributed.
The motorcade will start from 9 o’clock in the morning and will be conducted in phases by different persons. Anyone, especially community groups and activists, wishing to assist and participate, is kindly asked to contact the coordinator, Joseph Roberts, by calling 444-8431.
