Cryptocurrency, bitcoins, digital currency and other innovations in the payments systems, along with how businesses can use technology to improve their operations and profitability, will be the focus of the 2018 Financial Information Month Business Symposium on 31 October at the Greenery Room of the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort, Grand Anse, St George.
The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) and Financial Information Month partners in Grenada are collaborating to host the symposium under the theme: Conducting and Protecting Your Business in a Digital Environment.
Andrew Searles, Legal Adviser, Regional Security System (RSS), will be the featured presenter on the topic: Innovation in the Payments System: cryptocurrency, bitcoins, mobile wallets, digital currency…Are We Ready for the Transformation? The discussants will be Teron Greenidge, Financial Investigator and Analyst, Financial Intelligence Unit, Royal Grenada Police Force and Denis Felix, Acting Executive Director, Grenada Authority for the Regulation of Financial Institutions (GARFIN).
Clevon Noel, Technotrepreneur and owner of Sonover will be the key speaker on the topic: Restructuring and transforming your business to take advantage of opportunities in the digital environment. Linda Straker, Intellectual Property Rights Consultant and Freelance Journalist and Anderson Stanislaus, IT Specialist, will share their perspectives and experiences on the topic.
