At 8 am AST (1200 UTC), the centre of Tropical Storm (TS) Dorian was located by surface observations and Martinique radar data near latitude 14.0° North, longitude 61.2° West.

Dorian is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue through tonight, followed by a turn toward the northwest on Wednesday. On the forecast track, the centre of Dorian will move across the eastern and northeastern Caribbean Sea during the next few days.

The State of Grenada is no longer under a tropical storm watch.

However, persons are advised to still exercise caution as the feeder bands from TS Dorian which can produce some rainfall and isolated Thunderstorm.

Also, CAUTION should be taken when venturing out at seas due to above normal swells.

NaDMA together with the technical advice of the Meteorological Office at the Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA) will continue to monitor the weather and update the public.

For additional information, please contact the National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA) on 440-8390-4 & 440-0838, or email [email protected].
