This is madness.. The Firere Department is only ‘a-hop-skip-and-a-jump’ away? WHY it took so long to get to the scene of this devastating fire? We are losing our GRENADIAN IDENTITY… My sympathy goes out to the displaced families…

If a call was not made the moment the fire started how do you expect them to be there in 2 minutes? The Firemen wouldnt be looking at the sky to say “oh look smoke.” The fire department is reactive you wouldnt see a fire tender patrolling the streets for fires.

Where were the authorities while the fire was blazing and clouds of black smoke billowing from the buildings? It took far too long for help to arrive while people watched helplessly.

And yes, newscasters, most Grenadians appreciate media professionals who sound authentically Grenadian and professional at the same time.. It makes it easier for us to believe what you say, plus you’d sound a lot better.

What gets me is, GBN reporters trying to sound foreign by emulating a fake American accent, it sounds so horrible. Who are they trying to impress?… I mean, Americans don’t listen to GBN news anyway.

I do, I’m American. But I don’t care for the fake accent either.

I am American and I also watch GBN. I always find it funny when they try and sound American, just stay true to who you are, no need to try and pretend to sound like us

Well they can use it but also use the oficial name so should read the street name most commonly called four roads.

Four Roads is not an official name and the media needs to stop using these unofficial names. What is popularly called Four Roads is the intersection of Grenville Street, St. Juiles Street, and Maloney Street. The name Four Roads DOES NOT appear on the Grenadian Cadasta!

      I agree it’s not professional.
