The National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA) commences a series of community meetings in the district of St John on Wednesday, 29 January 2020.

The meeting which will take the format of presentations from several stakeholders – police, medical personnel and fire – will also include the elections of a new executive to run the operations in the district.

Supported by the Minister with Responsibility for Disaster Management, Senator Winston Garraway and complemented by the NaDMA Secretariat, the evening is expected to be an open platform for constituents to share ideas, suggestions and serve on a community level in the Disaster Management framework.

Wednesday’s meeting will be held at St John’s Anglican School from 6:30 pm. The next community forum will be in the St George North East district on Monday, 10 February 2020.

The public is invited to come out and be a part of the conversation on disaster preparedness in your community. The community initiative concludes on 30 March in the district of St Mark.
