I have a honeymoon planed in Grenada April 20th – 25th. I am hoping this won’t get canceled. I had these plans for over a year now!!
My trip is for May 6th our one year anniversary =(
Mr. Prime minister… please protect our lovely Grenada check every Grenadian that coming in and who is not Grenadian turn them back…am a Grenadian am leaning in America I wap planing to come home I will not be coming when all this is over…my prayers to R every one… God bless
Maybe this is a lesson for lots people who don’t wash they hands before eating, after using the washroom, having a cold sneezing etc. There is proper way for cleaning the hands and also turn the top with the paper towels, clean Kleenex with not available
There are people who dont know about cross contamination. If your dont use the proper hand cleaning technique and have a virus etc you will spread it to others. Taps are always dirty from the previous person to the next..
Focus on what we must do now to survive the virus. in the future Grenadians should focus on their land as their real wealth and make and sell goods for top market price. It is unwise that wealthy foreigners own beach front property. Build giant buildings and pollute our water. Foreigners sometimes will treat locals as inferior and that is insane. Its is unwise to bave foreigners in charge of our water systems and farms We did get our independence along the way. Governments can consider leasing but not selling. Least along the way colonialism arises again. Growing up in Grenada we lived in the land and went to the sea for refreshing baths’. No sewer systems was every close to the spawning grounds of fish. Now it’s totally polluted giving rise to new pandemics sooner than we think. Leaders must stop and consider things on a broader scope. After all. Health is priority over wealth . And remember, some who think they are poor, are rich many who are rich is sadly poor.
You are very wise. I hope people listen to you.
Let the man express himself. He is a Grenadian. It is better to have health than to chase after wealth. Grenada is small island and can’t handle this typs of virus!
I totally agree
This is selling our citizens for a buck.i believe a healthy nation is a wealthy nation what good it will do Grenada when our people is dying for what,a growing economy full off dead souls.we must do better than that.. some off the loan that taxpayers are paying back for now should have been for a Agro prossing plant that would help us survive this virious..then maybe the pm would see the importance off Agriculture to shut the place down. Stand firm Grenadian
Where is France? That is not fair
Morning Grenada,Mr Prime Minister please close our borders to any incoming visitors or those who’s seeking refuge in our small island, the covid -19 already hit Jamaica also you are leaving out UK,France,USA and many others, Mr Prime Minister it’s in French Martinique right in our back yard; We’re not prepared for such a disaster our health care system is the worst of all, Sir what are you doing to improve that??
This is a typical ignorant Grenadian’s opinion, please stop panicking! No matter what Grenada does, it is inevitable that COVID-19 will come to Grenada, stopping all flights and boats will completely destroy the economy from which you will never recover. Thousands of job losses, hotels & restaurants closing, taxi’s going out of business. Is this your goal? Please listen to the PM’s speech & follow up from last week, I am confident Grenada is as ready as any other country to fight the virus. I am from Canada, coming down on March 21st for a month, and I hope and pray, they allow us in. As of now, there are less than 100 cases in a country of over 35 million, with thousands tested each day, unlike the US. In fact, the new cases reported in the last week are from individuals who visited the US.
Please stop the ranting about protecting your country, it doesn’t make sense and doesn’t help anyone!!!
The voice of reason!
The voice of a chupeedee.
Melinda this is the most ignorant , selfish/ self centered and Narcissistic comment I have read. The us and a big majority of countries have travel bans that will hurt there economy and all your comment says is I hope and pray they let us in for your own personal reasons. Why don’t we lift the travel ban all together hey? How about we have you vet all travelers at your house when they arrive. You think a country like Us who is in shutdown that other countries would want us coming in to there’s? Makes absolutely no sense. My son has a mission trip there in less then 3 weeks I see zero common sense in him going with the risk of either no entry or not being able to leave. Why try and spread a virus to a country that is struggling is idiotic. Oh like you said they will eventually get it, and that there ready to fight the Virus like anyone other country and if they don’t let visitors in it will destroy there economy? Talk about a Oxymoron. For you, Grenada and the whole world I pray they put travel bans thru out the worOf until they have a plan set in place and a cure.
