I fully agree with DP. We should keep our food supply chain operativ. It makes absolutely no sense to allow 500 yard long waiting lines and hours of waiting time. Those very lines will get us infected. We all need to be able to shop for food and visit the pharmacy. By cutting down on shopping time our government forces us into gatherings and crowd. The very thing they want to avoid. I really don´t see any logic in those shopping restrictions. Where do I, we supposed to get food for this long period of time. And if they finally open the markets for one day, it will be even more crowded with longer lines, longer waiting and therefore a much higher chance to get infected. I hope the authorities will see the mistake they are makeing and have the guts to change. If not, you will drive the general public into despair and panic. 100.000 Grenadiens have to eat in order to keep our immunity system capable to fight Corvid 19. I support all other decisions made by our leaders but please let us shop for food without stress and fear.

government along with the RGPF needs to rethink the strategy adopted in allowing mass supermarket shopping to take place today. In my opinion what is requited is to adopt a three day shopping period on the basis of surnames. for example on Monday you will have surnames A – G, Wednesday H – N, Friday O – Z . that way you limit the number of individuals crowding supermarkets and local shops.

There should be more days alloted for persons to shop and all supermarkets should be opened. The supermarkets have their social distancing mechanism in place.
Closing the main super markets for a prolonged period was the main reason for the congestion issues today and several persons left long lines without any groceries.
We need to make better decisions at a critical time like this.

Why the hell is Carriacou still on complete shutdown! No warning that we can’t shop until the weekend, no fresh food in the shops, no virus. Is it because our minister has no balls and won’t make the right decisions for Carriacou

What about aid in the amount of US$140 Million that Grenada and other members of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) stand to benefit from which the Board of Directors approved for use by the bank’s Borrowing Member Countries to tackle the fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic and other shocks to their economies.
