  • 2 minor males in the parish of St John deliberately burned with hot water
  • One boy ate peanut butter without consent, while the other used a family member’s phone to play games
  • Boys’ hands infected due to a lack of proper medical care

Police have confirmed that an investigation is presently ongoing into a matter in which 2 minor males in the parish of St John burned with hot water, has left the boys’ hands infected due to a lack of receiving proper medical care.

The father of the children who is from the parish of St Andrew, confirmed the physical abuse of the children, but his name will be protected so as not to publicly expose the children. “Yes, the children hands were burned and honestly, I don’t know or really understand why that had to be done to them, but they are with me now,” he said. One of the boys had eaten peanut butter without consent from an adult in the house, while the other used a family member’s phone to play games.

“It happened during the lockdown,” said the father.

Reports are that a good Samaritan observed the burns on the children, and then drew it to the attention of the police in the community. The police then contacted the relevant authorities who were themselves shocked to see the state of the minors who are aged 9 and 5.

The incident occurred more than a week before it was drawn to the attention of the authorities. Medical authorities concluded that the children were receiving home remedies to heal the hands which appeared to have lost the natural skin colour.

The relevant authorities had both children taken to the General Hospital for treatment. It is understood that the incident occurred in the presence of family members including the grandmother who participated by holding down the boys’ hands for the mother and uncle to pour the kettle of boiling water on the minors.

The article says the uncle and mother held the children down. The average 9 year old child is no match physically for a grown adult.

This is an unthinkable act especially considering the age of the children and the frivolous indiscretions. All the perpetrators of this inhuman action should serve prison time. Your hearts are overly dark and you are demonically wicked. Prison time for you to reflect on your dastardly act and to amend your ways.

Infected due to poor medical care.

You can’t even treat a burn? But when I went home to corona you laughed at me about my countries medical system breaking down.

Pathetic, half of you are illiterate.

A barbaric act which warrant prison sentence..
These children scared physical and psychological for life. Even to Grenadian standard of disciplining children using back in day methods , this is shocking to say the least.

This is shocking, it is not very often that I am lost for words. I trust that all three people involved in committing this wicked act against those innocent children, will be severely dealt with by the law.

This is very disturbing!!! Mother, Grandmother, have you ever taken something, more significant, than what these 2 precious babies did?
Would you have liked someone to hold you down and pour boiling water on your hands?
    Have you No Heart?
Dad, I trust you will keep those boys and provide them with the love they need.
And I expect the authorities will bring these 2 women to justice and grandmother, you should be ashamed of yourself. I hope you both pay for this crime!!!

Ah… you missed another culprit… the article states that the Uncle poured the water…

In the UK they would be classed as criminals and IMMEDIATELY arrested – how lenient or lazy is the police system here!

Please ensure justice for these poor children. Ensure they get the strongest penalty to send a powerful message to all abusers out there.
